Co-op first-person shooter Crime Boss: Rockay City puts the organized in organized crime

Chuck Norris, Vanilla Ice, and Danny Trejo are among the all-star cast in Crime Boss: Rockay City, which was announced during The Game Awards tonight.

The first-person shooter, which hits Epic Games Store on March 28, is currently on pre-purchase sale for 40 percent off until Dec. 10. That discount drops to 20 percent off until the game’s launch. Crime Boss: Rockay City hits PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later next year, no specific date has yet been announced.

The INGAME STUDIOS developed title has players fighting for underworld control of a ‘90s Florida city through heists, turf wars, and over-the-top side stories in a game that features both a chunky single-player campaign and a PVE mode that supports up to four-players in hits and heists missions.

The game’s single–player campaign merges tactical planning with bloody execution as days roll by and your empire grows and shrinks. The game opens with the death of Rockay City’s crime boss, which creates a power-vacuum and a slew of gangs looking to fill it.

You take on the role of Travis Baker (voiced by Michael Madsen) and tap into his team of helpers and handlers (voiced by Michael Rooker, Kim Basinger, Danny Glover, and Damion Poitier) to build out your stranglehold on Rockay City.

Along the way you’ll need to wipe out rival bosses including Dollar Dragon, Hielo, Cagnali, and Khan (which includes the voices of Danny Trejo and Vanilla Ice) and steer clear of Sheriff Norris (voiced by Chuck Norris).

Players don’t just shoot up rival gangs, they also need to guide their gang’s growth by stealing territory, finding funds through smash-and-grabs, bank heists, and robberies. The sale of goods is used to maintain your empire and recruit everyone from thugs to the key people with specific skills used during your missions.

“The sheer talent on display both in front of camera, and behind the development of Crime Boss has been nothing but a joy for 505 to be part of” said Neil Ralley, President of 505 Games, “we’re thrilled to bring this truly exceptional organized crime game to legions of gamers who love this genre.”
