You know, there’s lots to do on a farm. You’re always as busy as a bee producing sweet, sweet honey while it’s increasing the yield of adjacent fields of crops (they really do, bees are buzzing awesome). Just like we are busy with cultivating new content for Farming Simulator 22 – Forests. Pumps. Hoses. Shiny Platinum Editions. Let’s talk about all that.
Soon, you’ll be able to harvest what we planted for you: the upcoming Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion, two new content packs (Vermeer Pack and Pumps n’ Hoses Pack) plus free content and more. All coming this year. Continue reading for more details!
Want to try Farming Simulator 22 for free? You can do it right now!
Quick FYI: Check out Free Play Days and play Farming Simulator 22 on Xbox this weekend! If you’re new to (virtual) farming, you might want to take a look at our Farming Simulator Academy, a growing set of tutorials to assist you with your first steps on the fields.
And, if you think, “Hey wow, those Farming Simulator people seem more interesting than I thought”, you can even join FarmCon by watching our live stream this Saturday – we’re meeting fans at the John Deere Forum in Germany to present the following content live and look for the best (virtual) bale stacker. Streaming on our official Giants Software Twitch channel starts at 10 am CEST on July 23rd and lasts until the evening. But let’s get back to the new stuff that’s coming soon.
Happy Little Tree Planting and Lots of Logging
With the Platinum Expansion & Platinum Edition (containing the base game + expansion), we add a huge amount of new content to the game. Both launch on November 15th, and pre-orders are available now. We push the number of authentic vehicles and tools by renowned agricultural brands up to more than 500. Volvo Group is joining the Farming Simulator universe with the expansion! Also included: more machines by IMPEX, Koller, Komatsu, Pfanzelt, Schwarzmüller, and others to care for fields and forest.
If you’re into forestry, the new map called Silverrun Forest becomes your new playground to harvest trees and distribute the logs for new production chains and various points of interest that develop thanks to your deliveries. That includes a small shipyard, where boats take off when you provide enough wood. More importantly, you can plant new types of trees and create an even more impressive landscape inspired by the Pacific Northwest of the United States. New missions included. Have your new tree markers handy!
Vermeer and More – We’re Not Done, Yet!
With the Vermeer Pack, another new content pack is coming to Farming Simulator 22 and it’s coming in just a few weeks. In addition to the world’s first self-propelled baler, the Vermeer pack includes five efficient and unique machines from the North-American manufacturer. If you’re into baling (you should, it’s fun), you’ll be able to produce bales as fast as possible, with great comfort and maneuverability. Like the Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion, you can pre-order the Vermeer Pack right now – and on August 23, you can start baling.
Let’s Pump It Up! Get Your Hoses Ready…
Presented and published by Giants Software, our dear friends at the game development studio Creative Mesh (started as a modding team and best known for their third-party add-ons for past Farming Simulator installments), are currently working on the Pumps n’ Hoses Pack. It’ll allow you to extend your farming operations with so-called umbilical systems (using pumps and hoses to spread fertilizer more efficiently and soil-friendly), manure separation, and configurable biogas plants. It’s available for pre-order now and will be released on September 27.
Okay, Here’s Some Free Content Right Now!
If you want something new RIGHT NOW, then visit the official in-game ModHub, where we provide you with Giants-tested mods by our community and a selection of machines we introduce ourselves for everyone to download for free – like the John Deere 5M and the classic John Deere 710. Both tractors are now available, free of charge, so they’re on us and John Deere. Have fun! And, if we see you at FarmCon at the John Deere Forum or in our livestream this weekend, say hello to our developers!
