Ask a group of hunters what their most feared Kemono would be, and the answers will be many and varied. But ask which is the most odious, and the response will be almost unanimous: the Jigokuzaru, or Lavaback.
A monkey fused with lava. Its arms are formed from lava and when they heat up and the lava softens, it can extend them out to increase its range of attack. It can also slam its mighty hands together to create a stunning shockwave, then hit the ground creating a fiery explosion. Combined with the ability to hurl lava at its enemies and even melt the ground into lava and dive in to reappear somewhere else entirely…the Lavaback is truly a force to be reckoned with.
