Enjoy A Summer Of Horrors in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Summer. A time to unwind… but not in The City. Summer of Horrors will see a collection of updates, additions, events, and crossovers come to Dying Light 2 Stay Human from now until September, and it all starts off with the Good Night, Good Luck update. The newest update promises darker nights and updated parkour movement to make the ultimate zombie game even better! Believe us, you’ll be #dying2survive.

“At Summer Game Fest, we said that this was going to be an events season like our players have never seen before,” states Tymon Smektała, Dying Light Franchise Director. “The Good Night, Good Luck update is just the start of what’s to come, with the improvements we’ve made to the night experience to make it more daunting, dangerous and deadly, as well as giving Pilgrims more control with the addition of Physical Parkour. There’s plenty more on the way with Summer of Horrors, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it!”

We’re always listening to feedback from our community and thinking about what we can do to make our game even more enjoyable for them. According to the feedback and data we’ve attained, it was clear that our players wanted a more advanced form of the parkour that was already in the game and to add more terror with roaming Volatiles, the apex predator of our universe. So, that’s what we’ve done.

The latest update will offer scarier nights (similar to what we had in the original Dying Light) and a greater sense of freedom when freerunning around Villedor. So get ready to never feel safe again as soon as the sun sets, as well as more liberated when running and leaping from rooftop to rooftop!

Fear the Night

Unlike your traditional summer nights, darkness has further enveloped Villedor once the sun sets. Is that a friend or a foe you barely can see in the night? Or maybe it’s an inanimate object and your mind is playing tricks on you? The dangers that lurk in the dark are now more hidden, leading to a greater sense of dread. And to further ramp up the tension, Volatiles will now roam the streets looking for their next prey. We guess you could just sit in a safe zone all night, but where’s the fun in that?

Run or Die!

We want you to feel that rush and the sense of freedom a freerunner has as they run across rooftops or take a leap of faith to a platform down below. To do that, we’ve added Physical Parkour, which will allow you to feel the flow, the control in the air and the speed you’re traveling at even more. If you hear a shriek or footsteps in the night, you’ll be able to use all the moves in your parkour arsenal to escape towards the light. You can choose between Physical Parkour (more realistic and responsive) and Assisted Parkour (easier control of character) in Settings.

Good Night, Good Luck Stream

As with all updates, we like to show off what’s being added to the community and exude our passion for the additions through the screen. So come join us on June 29 at 8PM CEST on the official Dying Light Twitch channel. We’ll break down what you can expect from the upcoming update, as well as maybe details a few tips and tricks that might help you in your quest for survival!
